1. The basic working principle of the screw chiller


The screw chiller is a multiphase refrigeration device with a compression, evaporation, and condensation cycle. The working principle of the screw industrial chiller is: the refrigerant vapor is sucked in by the compressor, compressed into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas, and the high-temperature and high-pressure gas is cooled into a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid through the condenser, and returned to the compressor for compression again. The cooled high-temperature and high-pressure liquid enters the oil separator, and part of the condensed oil is separated and enters the condenser, while the rest flows into the evaporator for evaporation. The evaporated gas returns to the compressor through the oil separator and expansion valve for recompression, and the cycle is repeated so that the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas is absorbed from the evaporator. Then, the absorbed low-temperature and low-pressure gas is transported to the condenser. The condensate in the condenser returns to the compressor for recompression and circulation, and the cycle repeats.


2. Composition and characteristics of screw chillers


Among them, the compressor adopts a multi-row screw compressor, and the motor drives the screw to rotate at high speed to achieve the purpose of compressing the gas. The evaporator adopts a capillary evaporator, which is characterized by a small cooling area and a high heat transfer coefficient; the oil separator adopts a multi-stage filtration and centrifugal structure, which can effectively separate impurities in the oil and ensure the normal operation of the screw compressor.
